If you love a good fried bologna sandwich and you also love a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, than you will go crazy for this amazing Hillbilly Philly! Beef bologna fried with peppers and onions and smothered with a delicious cheese sauce is sandwich you won't forget and you will want to make again and again.
The Hillbilly Philly
Ingredients
bologna cut into strips
bell peppers cut into thin slices
onion cut into thin slices
seasoned salt
worcestershire sauce
olive oil
Cheese sauce
1/2 cup milk
8 oz. velveeta cheese cut into cubes
1/2 tsp dried mustard
1/2 tsp dried minced onion
red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
Sautee peppers and onions in 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil until tender. Remove and hold in a bowl until adding to bologna. Place bologna in a hot skillet or griddle and sprinkle a little seasoned salt. Cook until there is a good sear on bologna. Add some peppers and onions and a couple dashes of worcestershire. Remove and place on a hoagie bun. Cheese sauce Pour milk into a small sauce pot and cook to a simmer. Add the rest of ingredients and stir continuously until smooth. Pour some cheese sauce over bologna in sandwich.
