Hash Brown Casserole
Ingredients
1 stick salted butter
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
pinch of salt and pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 cups sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
30 oz. bag of shredded hash browns
Topping
2 cups crushed corn flakes
1/2 stick salted butter
Instructions
In a large skillet melt one stick of butter. Cook onions in butter until translucent. Then add seasonings, soup, sour cream, and cheese. Stir until all is combined. In a large bowl combine hash browns with soup mixture. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Crush two cups of corn flakes. Melt half stick of butter and stir into the crushed corn flakes. Sprinkle the corn flakes over the hash brown mixture. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for one hour.
