Chia Seeds are gaining in popularity and for good reason. These little seeds contain a powerful punch of nutrition. One ounce contains 11 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein, omega 3s, and are loaded with antioxidants. This delicious Strawberry Chia Jam is low in sugar, simple, and so good on toast, biscuits, pancakes, and so much more. Strawberry Chia Seed Jam
Ingredients
2 cups of strawberries cut into slices
Juice of half of a lemon
3 tbsp of honey (can also use agave nectar or natural maple syrup)
2 tbsp of chia seeds
Instructions
1. Place strawberries into a small saucepan with the juice of half of a lemon and bring to a boil. Allow to cook for 8 to 10 minutes until strawberries soften and breakdown.
2. Add the honey and cook for another couple of minutes.
3. Remove from the heat and add the chia seeds. Stir and place into a container and put in the refrigerator. Can be kept in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks.
