Peanut Butter Pie




I love peanut butter and eat some kind of nut butter almost every day. So naturally Peanut Butter Pie is a favorite dessert of mine but it is also a favorite dessert of my husband. So for his birthday I love to make him Peanut Butter Pie! This recipe makes two pies so I will show you two different crusts you can use. You can also freeze one pie to enjoy later.


Peanut Butter Pie


Ingredients

1 8 oz jar of creamy peanut butter

8 oz. package of cream cheese

2 cups powdered sugar

2 8 oz. cool whip (or 4 cups heavy cream)

2 9 inch graham cracker crusts


Instructions

Whip room temperature cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, peanut butter and one 8 oz. carton of Cool Whip and mix until everything is combined and creamy. Divide the filling between the two pie crusts. Top with remaining Cool Whip and chill. Graham cracker crust 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs 6 tbsp of melted butter Mix together and press into a pie pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.


Oreo Cookie Crust

24 Oreo cookies

4 tbsp of melted butter


Place cookies into a food processor and blend until finely ground, then add the melted butter and continue blending until combined. Press crumb mixture into a pie pan and chill until ready to add filling.


Whipped Cream Whip

4 cups of heavy cream until thick and the cream has stiff peaks. Put half of the whipped cream into the peanut butter filling. Add 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and 1 tbsp of vanilla extract to the other half of the whipped cream and mix together. Top the pies with the sweetened whipped cream and chill.
