These Mexican Stuffed Shells are incredible! Pasta shells stuffed with taco meat and topped with sour cream, picante sauce, and cheese make for a perfect dinner everybody will love. This is one of those dishes that your family will devour in a matter of minutes. Great for parties and also works accompanying other Mexican dishes.
Mexican Stuffed Shells
Ingredients
2 pounds of ground beef
1 packet of taco seasoning (see recipe below to make your own)
1/2 cup picante sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
additional picante sauce and sour cream for topping
Taco Seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
Instructions
Cook jumbo pasta shells according to the directions on the box. Cook ground beef in a large skillet until browned. Add 1/2 cup of sour cream, 1/2 cup of picante sauce, and taco seasoning. Pour some picante sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish and spread evenly. Fill each pasta shell with a couple tablespoons of taco meat mixture and place in baking dish. Add a dollop of sour cream on top of each shell and then add a tablespoon of picante sauce. Top with cheese. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven until cheese is melted.
