4 Ingredient Spaghetti Carbonara
If your looking for a delicious recipe that inspires all your family then you will want to try this Spaghetti Carbonara. With only 4 ingredients and just 20 minutes you will have a wonderful flavorful meal. I love quick and easy meals and this recipe is one of the best.
8 to 10 oz spaghetti pasta (any pasta will work)
4 to 6 slices of bacon
1 whole egg 3 egg yolks
1/2 cup to 1 cup parmesan cheese (pecorino and romano cheeses work also)
salt and pepper to taste
Cook pasta in water seasoned with a good amount of salt. (about 2 tbsp) Chop bacon and fry until crisp. Remove and place on a plate. Crack one whole egg and three egg yolks into a small bowl. Scramble and then add cheese. Pour egg mixture into a large bowl. Add a little pasta at a time to the egg mixture stirring with each addition. Add bacon and more cheese if you prefer. You can also add some of the pasta water if sauce is too thick.
Other options: frozen peas, cooked chicken, diced ham, or mushrooms.
