These Slow Cooker Italian Roast Beef Sandwiches are perfect to make and serve for any gathering whether for the Holidays or Game Day! With just a few simple ingredients tossed into the slow cooker you can have a delicious sandwich for a crowd.
Italian Roast Beef Sandwich Ingredients
2 to 4 pound chuck roast (I used 2 1/2 pound sirlon tip roast)
1 packet of Italian dressing seasoning
1 tablespoon of dry beef base or 2 beef bullion cubes
1 16oz jar of banana pepper rings salt and pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Hoagie Bun
Sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese
Instructions
Sprinkle each side of roast with salt and pepper. In a hot skillet add olive oil and then sear each side of roast, this will take about 5 minutes. Place roast in slow cooker and add the rest of the ingredients. Cook on high for 6 to 8 hour until the roast is tender enough to shred. Using two forks shred beef. Place a piece of cheese on each side of bun and place under broiler until the cheese melts. Pile the bun with the delicious beef and enjoy!
